What is ConVincer.io?

How it works

Upload your CV in any language (even a rough draft), optionally add a job description, pick a target language, and let ConVincer.io do the rest. You'll get back an optimized, professionally designed CV in your chosen language, along with a detailed review that tells you exactly what was improved and what you can still work on.

Upload your CV once, get results that actually fit the job. ConVincer.io optimizes your CV against a specific job posting, or maintains a polished base profile in your account that you can target to any role on demand. A built-in CV editor lets you tweak any section directly in the browser. A 30-day pass gives you unlimited optimizations. Effortless if you're building versions for multiple positions.

Tailored version and Profile Gallery

Every optimization produces a tailored version: your CV restructured, polished, and aligned with the specific job you're targeting. No job description? It then optimizes for general quality without a specific role in mind. If you have an account with an active subscription, you also get a Profile Gallery: a personal base version of your CV rendered in all designs, always up to date with your profile. Think of it as your general-purpose CV, independent of any specific job application.

What's in the review?

Every optimization comes with a written review. It's not just a score: it breaks down what was changed, why, and what you can improve further on your own. You'll get concrete suggestions for missing keywords, weak phrasing, structural issues, and gaps that a recruiter might notice.

Important: the review and all scores are based purely on the content of the optimized text, the actual wording, structure, and substance. The formatting or layout of your original upload plays no role whatsoever. Whether you uploaded a polished design or a plain-text draft, the review evaluates the same thing: how strong your content is after optimization.

The review is intentionally not sugarcoated, but strictly honest and can be blunt. If something in your CV is weak, it will tell you. Think of it as feedback from someone who's read thousands of CVs and has no reason to be polite about it.

Designs that actually look different

We don't offer three variations of the same two-column layout and call it a "template library." ConVincer.io comes with a growing range of genuinely distinct designs, from clean and classic to bold and creative. Each template is crafted to stand on its own, so your CV doesn't just read well, it looks memorable. Pick the style that fits your industry and personality.

Free preview, pay for the full result

You can try ConVincer.io without paying. Every upload gives you a watermarked CV preview for all available designs, enough to see the quality and decide if it's worth it. If you want the clean PDF, the full review, and all template variants, you unlock them with a one-time payment or a 30-day pass.

Motivation letter generation

A strong cover letter can make the difference between getting shortlisted and getting filtered out. When you upload your CV together with a job description, ConVincer.io unlocks a motivation letter generator. You get a targeted first draft based on your CV content and the specific role requirements, in your chosen output language.

You can edit and refine the letter directly in the browser before downloading. Placeholders for company name, date, and address are pre-filled or easy to complete. The result is a coherent, role-specific letter that complements your optimized CV, not a generic template with your name swapped in.

The motivation letter feature is only available when you provide a job description during upload. Without a job description, CV optimization and review work as usual, but the letter generator is not shown.

The harsh reality and why small improvements matter

A typical job posting attracts around 50 applicants. Most companies invite only 2-3 for an interview. Applicant quality follows a bell curve, and the vast majority clusters right in the middle. That means the competition at the top is thin, but the gap between "gets filtered out" and "gets invited" can come down to surprisingly small differences.

Our simulation models this. It shows that even a modest score improvement, say from 5/10 to 7/10, can move you from the crowded center of the pack into the top tier of candidates. Your absolute chance of landing an interview might still look modest in percentage terms, but the relative jump is dramatic. Going from "almost certainly filtered out" to "realistic shot at an invite" doesn't require a perfect CV. It requires a better CV: better structure, better wording, better alignment with the role. That's exactly what ConVincer.io delivers. Small, targeted improvements that shift you up the curve where it matters most.

The truth about ATS optimization

Most CV tools promise "ATS-optimized" results, then hand you the same pseudo-professional, cookie-cutter design that every other applicant submits. The truth is: you cannot fully optimize for ATS. These systems rely heavily on database matching and reliably break on anything beyond the simplest layouts. Two columns? Already a problem. Abbreviations, an unexpected date format, or a slightly creative section order? Enough to throw off the parser. Many ATS don't even support everything a typical CV contains. Job descriptions, for instance, are often silently dropped.

The reality is that ATS are mass filters. They are not designed to identify excellence, but to reduce volume. Optimizing your CV exclusively for a machine means stripping away everything that makes you stand out to the person who actually decides whether to invite you.

CVs should be optimized for humans, not machines. ConVincer.io's designed CVs are built to impress the recruiter who reads them, not to score points with a parser. They are clean enough that most ATS can extract the basics, but every design decision prioritizes readability and visual impact over machine compatibility.

If ATS compatibility matters to you: pick a single-column design without sidebar, or use the plain ATS document we include with every optimization. It's unstyled and built to pre-fill portal fields. Maximizing matching skill tags is the most effective lever here, since ATS keyword matching is crude but real.

That said, in our experience the return on ATS optimization is minimal. The designed CV is where the real difference is made.
